Bill Mumy is an actor, musician, writer and producer. He started his acting career at the age of five. He’s worked on over 400 television shows and 20 feature films and his career spans five decades. As an actor, he’s best known for his roles as “Will Robinson” on the 1960’s series, Lost in Space, “Lennier” on Babylon 5, and “Anthony Fremont” from The Twilight Zone. He is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He recently wrapped up starring in Marc Zicree’s Sci Fi film, Space Command.
He’s written comic books and graphic novels for Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Epic, Innovation, Bluewater comics and others.
Bill co-created and wrote the television series, Space Cases with Peter David which ran for two seasons in the late 90’s on Nickelodeon and in over fifty countries. He has also written several short stories and graphic novels including, “Lost in Space: Voyage to the Bottom of the Soul”, “The Dreamwalker”, “The Black ‘59” and “The Undeadliest Game”. He’s collaborating on a fantasy novel with fellow Lost in Space alumni Angela Cartwright.
2015 marked the 50th anniversary of “Lost in Space”. Bill wrote and co-produced “bonus” material for the Fox 50th Anniversary Blu Ray released September 2015.
As a musician and songwriter, Mumy has released thirteen solo albums and nine albums as half of the novelty-rock band, “Barnes and Barnes” best known for their hit song and film, “Fish Heads”. His original songs have been featured in many television shows, films and commercials. He was nominated for an Emmy for songwriting on Disney’s “Adventures in Wonderland” live action series, a project he wrote over one hundred songs for. His latest CD is VELOUR.
